Good morning xclub fans and happy new year[br][br]While in the past it has been a tradition to have antivirus installed on your new PC or Android smartphone but does the existence of this tradition still there, while coming to the question - is it still required? Android doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to security but it's fundamentally immune to viruses considering Android is just yet another Linux based mobile operating system.[br]This in no way means your security can't be compromised since there can be various other mechanisms by which your personal data can be compromised.[br][br]But it's 2019 and Google's Android has become smart enough to prevent many of the casualties before it happens especially given that Google Play Protect is built into Android and its malware protection scans your device and apps already. While that may not be a true solution to this if you install apps from unknown sources. Moreover, many Custom UI's have a built-in antivirus solution to protect you from malware. Self-awareness is also a great factor when it comes to being safe, Checking various permissions and revoking the necessary ones is a good step, to begin with.[br][br]Do you use antivirus for your phone? Do you think it really keeps the phone safe?[br][br]Is Antivirus Necessary for Android Phones in 2019? Reply down and let know what's your view on this! |
